We are a small family owned and operated Certified Organic dairy farm milking 165 Jersey cows once a day supplying Fonterra.

Operating a 100% grass based system, no bought in supplements, a herd average cell count below 100,000 and empty rates less than 4% has been years in the making. Each aspect of the land and animal husbandry has been meticulously analysed to acquire industry leading results. This coupled with expert record keeping and understanding of regulatory obligations has lead Mt Cosy Organics to remain at the forefront of responsible agricultural practices.

Now into our fifth generation of operation, Me, Sunil ventured into Organics almost ten years ago. Mentored by my father Kalvin we have managed to successfully convert our farm to organics with tremendous success. We are now moving into our next phase and that is to support others in this move. We understand the fears and issues of beginning this journey and the knowledge we have learnt can now be passed to others who seek an alternative to conventional dairy systems.
